Kyle Richard

Kyle was a junior linebacker and varsity team captain at SUNY Cortland whose courageous act helped stop an attack on a young woman, despite it nearly costing him his life. In the summer of 2017, Kyle and a friend were at a party in Long Island and interrupted a sexual assault in progress. Pursuing the assailant, Richard was shot once in each leg, the bullets missing major arteries and bones by millimeters.

Kyle was the recipient of the 2018 Kristin's Fund Next Generation Leadership Award at the 2nd annual Kristin's Fund Gala in 2018.

Floyd Little

Floyd Little was an NFL football halfback, one of Syracuse's legendary "44"'s, and three-time All-American at Syracuse University. He was the first ever first-round draft pick to sign with the Denver Broncos, and was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1983 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010. Kristin's Fund had the good furtune to have Floyd and his wife, DeBorah, as VIP guests at the 1st ever Kristin's Fund Gala in 2017.

They continued to support our fundraising efforts by attending the 2018 and 2019 Galas and generously donated Floyd's signed jerseys and memorabilia for our silent and live auctions. Floyd was much loved by Kristin's Fund Gala guests. Football fans had the opportunity to meet him--often a highlight of their evening. All were taken with Floyd's larger-than-life personality and kind spirit. Floyd lost his battle to cancer on January 1, 2021. We will be forever grateful to Floyd and DeBorah for their generosity and support.
